New Opportunity: Volunteer Board Member
The BNRC is seeking members for their Board of Director.
The board of directors is the governing body of the BNRC. As a board member, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s activities. Board members meet once a month to discuss current projects and review financial statements for the organization. You will work with the General Manager to set the strategic direction for the BNRC on an annual basis and review our overall mandate as needed. Board members are asked to sit on various committees throughout their term on the board. The term for membership is open but generally, a commitment of at least two years is appropriate.
The BNRC recruits board members from partner organizations, from the community at large, and looks specifically for residents who live within the BNRC zone. If you work, live, or play in Brandon’s core community, you would make an excellent addition to our board.
We currently have up to 5 positions available and are hoping for at least 3 more residential members.
Individuals who identify as the following are encouraged to apply:
- Real Estate Agent
- Financial background
- Community Volunteers/Enthusiasts
- Police Officers
- Teachers/Brandon School Division Experience
- Downtown business owners
- Indigenous Peoples
